As a filmmaker, Tamer has worked on a range of projects. Writing, Directing award winning films and commercials, a digital Original Series, and working with corporate giants like Microsoft, Audi and more. As a former User Experience Design Lead at Microsoft he had the opportunity to create experiences on Xbox, Augmented Reality, and lead the design on several multi-million dollar projects for products used daily.
In 2011 Tamer was awarded the YSA 25 Under 25 Most Influential Young people on HuffPost for his humanitarian work. He later received Microsoft's MVP Leadership award for his work on a Documentary covering Microsoft's Hurricane Sandy relief effort. Since then, Tamer has directed branded short films for Audi, Lamborghini, Lay’s and the UEFA Champions League to name a few. In 2019, Tamer was chosen as a finalist for the Commercial Directors Diversity Program finalist (CDDP) and again as 1 of 5 Fellows in 2021, in LA, as well as won a Clio for Sports in advertising as the Director and Creative Director of the Lay’s campaign. His most recent short film “Pause” was Officially Selected and made its World Premiere at the 2021 Austin Film Festival where it was the Finalist and Runner-up for the Enderby Entertainment Fellowship Award. In 2022 Tamer was selected as a Finalist for the Pillars Artist Fund by Riz Ahmed, Mahershala Ali, Hasan Minhaj, and Ramy Youssef. In 2023, he sits on the mentorship board for Film My Design as well as is a judge on the 2023 Musicbed Film challenge.
Tamer prides himself on not compromising the quality in the stories he tells when working with his team, and ensuring that each and every decision made has a purpose.
Tamer is currently working on developing a feature-length film, as well as exploring new mediums for storytelling.
